A little about me

I’M AN AUTHOR AND EDITOR WHO LIVES IN DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA WITH MY HUSBAND, TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, AND OUR DOG, QUINCY.

I studied journalism at Carleton University’s School of Journalism in Ottawa, ON. I began my journalism career writing online sports articles, lifestyle pieces for magazines, and a few newspaper clippings. My first book, Winds of Change: The Life and Legacy of Calvin W. Ruck, was published in 2014. I was honoured when that book was shortlisted for a Dartmouth Book Award. Since then, I’ve been blessed to write several more books, ranging from adult and middle-grade non-fiction to children’s picture books, and have edited some wonderful books by many talented Nova Scotian authors. Feel free to browse the site to check out more books, some fun printable downloads, videos, and to find out what’s up next. Happy reading!
